Wall decorating ideas for the bathroom

Honestly, the one mistake everyone makes is to see the bathroom as a purely functional space. Though we don’t see any reason why the bathroom shouldn’t look as pretty as any other room of your home. While tiles can be used to make a statement, why restrict it to just that? Here are a few other ways you can spruce up your bathroom:
 

1. Add art prints
Use framed art prints to accentuate at least one wall in the Bathroom Design. You can either hang them or place them on shelves. If you have neutral coloured walls, look at eccentric and colourful prints to add some cheer in this space. 

 

2. Creative shelving
Instead of just cabinets and storage cupboards, explore other options to store your toiletries and towels. Think step ladders, floating and even boxed shelves to creatively arrange your toiletries.
 

3. Wall decals
A quick and inexpensive way to pretty up your bathroom space is by using wall decals. These come in several options of colours and patterns and can instantly bring your walls to life.  Plus, these can be changed often with ease.

 

4. Wallpaper
While it may not be a popular option as moisture affects wallpapers, you can always invest in waterproof options. You can either choose to go all out with it or just use it to create a statement wall.
 

5. Lights
Don’t think about lights as just a necessity but also as a décor accessory especially when it comes to interior design. Lighting can make or break the look of your bathroom. Ensure the space is well lit and invest in quality wall light, with a glamorous bend for the bathroom. To further elevate the look, we suggest adding a glitzy mirror between two wall sconces.

Creative placement of shelves can go a long way in changing the way your bathroom looks. Invest in a step ladder or an open cabinet system to creatively display your toiletries and towels. This is also one way in which you can bring in colour in the bathroom.
Think shiny bling for smaller accessories and fixtures to add that sparkle in your bathroom. An oxidised finish to the metal embellishments adds some visual drama.
Play with lighting in your bathroom. Place it near a reflective surface such as a mirror to increase the amount of light streaming into the space. You can also make a décor statement with your choice of light.
